BioTE Method

BioTE Method:  involves the subcutaneous placement of bioidentical testosterone pellets in the fat of the buttock every four months.  The pellets are designed for a slow release of testosterone without the need for daily or weekly dosing.  The dosage is based upon a calculation using the patient history data and laboratory values.  The procedure takes about 10 minutes in the office and is well tolerated.  Labs are done for the initial dosing, six weeks after dosing to confirm dosage amounts, then once yearly.  This method bypasses the effect of metabolism of the hormones in the liver before delivery into the blood stream.
